Loan Default Prediction System
Financial institutions often struggle with assessing loan applicants' creditworthiness, hindering their ability to manage risk and minimize defaults. Traditional credit evaluation methods may overlook complex financial behaviors, leading to potential losses. I built a machine-learning application to address this challenge and enhance loan approval processes and decision-making. I developed a predictive model that assesses loan default risk based on applicant data, helping institutions improve lending decisions, reduce defaults, and boost portfolio performance. I performed detailed data cleaning and exploration and trained five classifier models—Decision Tree, Random Forest, XGBoost, AdaBoost, and LightGBM—with LightGBM achieving an impressive 99% accuracy. Employee Turnover Regression Analysis
As a Data Analyst and Report Writer, I led a comprehensive project to uncover key drivers of employee turnover. I initiated the process by cleaning the dataset by renaming columns, eliminating duplicates, and handling missing values, ensuring data integrity. Through rigorous exploratory data analysis, I discovered significant correlations between employee satisfaction, project involvement, and salary levels, which were closely linked to employee exits. I then segmented the data into 75% training and 25% testing sets and developed multiple predictive models, including Logistic Regression, Decision Tree, and Random Forest. XGBoost was the best model, achieving outstanding F1, recall, precision, accuracy, and AUC scores. My findings led to actionable business recommendations such as reducing working hours, enhancing training programs, and optimizing salary structures and retention.
Road Accidents Analysis
In this project, I served as the Data Analyst and Report Writer, utilizing advanced Excel, Python, and SQL to clean and analyze road accident data. The objective was to create a responsive dashboard that addressed key inquiries: total casualties, casualties by transport type, casualty severity percentages, monthly casualty trends, and casualties segmented by road type and surface. Leveraging Python for data cleaning and exploration, SQL for data retrieval, and Excel for final visualization, I synthesized these findings into an interactive dashboard. This approach enabled stakeholders to identify patterns, assess risk factors, and further make data-driven decisions for road safety improvements.
Web Scraping and Automation
I served as the data mining and cleaning specialist, focusing on extracting essential details about PlayStation 5 listings from an e-commerce website. The client requested a compiled list of available consoles, their prices, ratings, and direct links for convenient viewing. Utilizing Python and web scraping libraries, I gathered, transformed, and cleaned the data, then exported it to Google Sheets. To streamline operations, I automated the entire process and integrated a database system for secure data storage and future reference. My deliverables included the functional code, and comprehensive documentation for seamless deployment and usage.
Sales Analysis
In my role as a Marketing/Sales Data Analyst, I used Power BI to conduct a comprehensive sales analysis for a client seeking to optimize their product performance, regional coverage, and overall business strategy. The project involved cleaning and organizing extensive sales data, identifying monthly trends, and examining daily order and shipping quantities. Leveraging statistical methods and advanced data visualization techniques, I uncovered patterns and insights highlighting the client’s top- and bottom-performing products, as well as high-potential regions and cities.
